Wildermyth is a character-driven game developed by Worldwalker Games. The game centers around a small band of farmers. It is your job to turn them into unique and legendary heroes. The problem is that they’re all charisma and not enough skills. They must defend the Yondering Lands from intruders, either through turn-based combat or strategic decisions on the overland map. As the game progresses, you will learn the secrets of the land through a series of comic-strip-style events. These are unveiled through choices that will change their appearance, personality, and abilities. Make the right choices, and the character will reach their Legacy.

The game immediately plays the consequences of your decision, pushing the narrative of the story further. All that is known is that you will lead a group of farmers. Each of them is reluctant to change, but they each have great potential to become unique, legendary fighters. 

The game is reminiscent of tabletop RPGs, such as Dungeons and Dragons. The game's band of warriors, though different from one another, team up to achieve a single goal. Throughout the game, they can age, fall in love, fight, and make harrowing sacrifices. The game makes light of these events by presenting it in handpainted 2D characters and scenery. Though the game is similar to fantasy games, you will not see orcs, elves, or goblins. 

Wildermyth is a turn-based strategy game that pushes you to use your imagination. With it, you can create strategies that will evolve your capabilities and surroundings. The game’s procedural generation function will give you new heroes, enemies, story events, and maps. In the end, you will have a huge bank of combat abilities for each character.
